Use Thanksgiving to Jump-Start Living Your Best Life
One exercise you may find interesting to do this Thanksgiving, or any day, is to see if you can go throughout the day without complaining about anything or criticizing anyone, including yourself and your personal situations. Focus only on the good you see in others and in the circumstances that happen during the day. Appreciation is the same vibration as love, the powerful high vibration that immediately connects you to God/Source/All-That-Is.
As a powerful daily spiritual practice, take out a notebook, write the date on top of the page, and start making a list of everything you appreciate about your life and what's going on in your life right now. Look only for the positive things you already see in you life now, not what you want to see in your life. Include what you appreciate about the people in your life now, rather than focusing on their faults. Write your list under specific topics, if you desire, such as "Health," "Money" and "Relationships." Spend about 15 minutes on this exercise each morning.
When you start each day practicing appreciation, you will notice yourself finding more things, events and people to appreciate in your life, increasing your feelings of joy. The more joy you have, the more you attract the things you want, such as a new career, more money or new friends who share and support your beliefs. You cannot change other people and their world, but you certainly can change yourself, your circumstances and your own world.
