Today's New Moon and Your List of Intentions

Today is the last New Moon of the year and it's time to create another New Moon List. Have fun with this and make it your own, personal ritual, lighting up some candles if you wish and burning your favorite incense to set the mood. I like to meditate first so I'm in a peaceful, relaxed, receiving mode.

Think about everything you would like to manifest in your life and write them down. Remember, the act of writing is very powerful and automatically sets things in motion. Be brief but specific.

For example, let's say you want to manifest a new job or career and you add your intention to your list. Writing the intention, "I will attract a new job" will work and the Universe will immediately begin to set things in motion to bring you "a new job". However, since this statement is vague, "new job" could be come to you as any kind of a job, including a job you may not particularly care for. If you attract a job you don't really like, express gratitude for it and write it down on your list again, this time being more specific. Write down clearly the exact job or career you want manifested and add "or better", so the Universe can give you exactly what you are asking for, or better.

With the addition of today's powerful, New Moon energies, your intentions and desires will manifest much more quickly. Have a wonderful, prosperous New Moon day!

She invited Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love back to the show and this topic was explored a little more in depth. Several people who read and were inspired by her book described their spiritual journeys and awakenings. Some of the highlights were:

• Take time for yourself and honor yourself.
  
• Say "no" to things you cannot do or do not want to do. As Elizabeth said, "I am my best person when I put less on my plate."
  
• Ask yourself, what do you want to do in life?
  
• Everyone you encounter is to teach you something about yourself.
  
• Be the example of how to live a happy, blessed life.

Negroponte's Humanitarian Idea--One Laptop Per Child

What do you think about the humanitarian's idea: Sell laptops in the U.S. for children for only $200, but you must also buy this laptop for a child in a third-world country? One can buy this laptop only on the Internet and only during this month of December, at least for now. This was on 60 minutes earlier this year and is coming on again tonight.

Nicholas Negroponte, MIT professor, had the idea to get every child in developing countries a free laptop, not any ordinary laptop but one with better features than a U.S. laptop costing thousands of dollars. Over one billion poor children around the world can potentially get one. If the laptop is stolen from the child, it will stop working in 24 hours!

He said it takes a 10-year old child in a poor, third-world country only 3 minutes to "get it" and learn how use a laptop, even kids who are not going to school. It appears to be making children eager and excited about going to school.

It's also making companies like Intel jump and try to profit from this. This idea can also help catapult humanity's consciousness during this crucial time in history of great transformation. What do you think about this idea?
